Buddy Jr.

€490,00

Buddy Jr. is the result of a long period of thought and development. Like its sibling chair Buddy, it's built on mathematics — the laws of nature in the form of the golden section. It's half as much as its sibling, and yet somehow so much more.

The two-part seat is shaped to support the sitter. The backrest's beautiful curve isn't just captivating to look at — it's also ergonomically supportive for your back.

It fits beautifully into any space, whether on its own or gathered with others around a table. The low backrest stays below tabletop height, keeping the space feeling calm and open. During long stretches of sitting, it's nice to shift position: turn slightly to the side, rest an elbow on the backrest. Buddy Jr. also happens to be the perfect match for the Cross table.

Buddy Jr. – surprisingly comfortable to sit in.

To create a solid wood chair. Sounds simple. But the design language that interests me — the one I work with — isn't the easiest when it comes to certain things. Buddy Jr. is, I believe, the best possible outcome within the constraints I set for myself. I gave everything I had to give, and I'm extremely happy with what came of it. Leaning on the laws of nature, trusting my own thinking, studying human anatomy. It was an interesting and demanding journey. Above all, this is my chair — I almost forgot that along the way. Buddy Jr. — surprisingly comfortable to sit in.
