The Standby folding stool was born in the spring of 2018 out of necessity. When spring came, it was time to clean the boathouse and get it ready for summer parties. A table would be placed in the middle, and stools around it. In midsummer, when the sun was shining, it was nice to fold the stool up under your arm, find a windless spot on the shore, and enjoy life. After the crab party, when the autumn storms began, the time came when the stools were folded up and lifted onto the racks made for them on the wall. The 7-degree slant of the boathouse floor made it almost impossible to sit on any straight-surfaced stool. The fabric seat adapted to the slope of the floor and placed the sitter straight. The seat part is attached to the stool frame with eight sturdy snaps. It is easy to remove for cleaning. By removing one end of the seat and twisting it once around the frame, the Standby stool can be turned into a higher seat.
