I felt strongly that I needed a very personal project to channel a certain amount of my pent-up energy. By exploring, discovering, creating and playing, I would connect things that were attractive to me, creating something charming. After the process, a work called Buddy was born. I felt an immense sense of fulfillment and joy when I had the first piece I had made for myself ready in front of me. The 21-kilogram solid oak Buddy is individually handcrafted and meticulously finished. The smooth surface has a natural oil mixture that emphasizes the beauty of the wood, bringing yet another dimension to this harmonious work. Finally, a numbered brass plate with an individual number and year is hammered into the bottom with two nails.
