Protean

€2.689,00

Where design is a pedantic art in most of the designer’s work, with Protean he deliberately hands some of this power to the owner.

Deriving inspiration from the furniture design of the 50s and 60s yet updating the functionality for modern needs and wants, including an opening at the back for wiring. Protean is a highly adaptable piece with its unattached, movable legs and easily removable veneer doors. It can be re-shaped to best fit any space or different life situations.

Simple, versatile and attractive, the Protean can be used as a TV-stand or a sideboard, and effortlessly hides or reveals anything it stores inside. The classic shape of the design makes it a long-lasting companion, a piece to cherish forever.

Evocative and direct, combining solid oak and veneer the Protean will be a striking addition to any home and a true eye-catcher for any office.

Product Fact Sheet

" It might sound terribly cliché, but I believe in love at first sight. That’s how it was for us, we met, and we just knew. We agree on all the big things, and quarrel over all the little ones, but it keeps things interesting. He knows his own mind, and I adore that about him. This sideboard is the first piece of furniture we bought together, unanimously. It, too, was love at first sight for both of us. Now the only question is, how do we want to use it. I want to remove the doors and organize all the books beautifully inside it. He wants to keep the doors to hide them and his amplifier. I want to mount the TV to the wall above it, he would prefer it placed on top of the sideboard. I want to use that space to put our photographs and perhaps some candles on. Maybe we should just attach one of the doors, he could have his amplifier, I could see my books. I’m sure we will find a solution that makes both of us happy. There are so many options. Luckily, we have all the time in the world. "
